National Hockey LeagueNOTE:  This tour is now closing.  Pilots flying this tour will have until MARCH 1, 2011 to complete all remaining legs.

There are currently 30 teams that comprise the National Hockey League across the United States and Canada.  These 30 teams each play a total of 82 games (41 at home and 41 on the road) to complete a single season.

For the 2010 IFR Tour, we, in cooperation with the Canadian Division, have teamed up to bring you the season charter schedules of 6 NHL Teams:  3 from the United States and 3 from Canada.

For the United States version of this tour, we offer you, as the charter pilot, the opportunity to fly the season schedule of the New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, or the San Jose Sharks.  If you prefer Canada as your base, the Canadian Division is offering tours following the Montreal Canadians, Toronto Maple Leafs, or the Vancouver Canuks.

We invite you to sharpen your skates and join us across North America as you charter your favorite team from goal line to goal line in pursuit of the Stanley Cup.

  • Pilots are only required to complete one team's schedule to earn the Divisional IFR Tour award.
  • All flights must be completed online using real weather.
  • This is an IFR tour. All flights must be completed under Instrument Flight Rules operating on a valid flight plan.
  • Charts are available here.
  • Aircraft and callsigns are not mandatory and are only listed for reference. The flight dates are not mandatory and are only listed for reference.
  • Pilots who do not follow IVAO Rules and Regulations as well as the US Division Guidelines will be excluded from participation at the discretion of US Staff.
  • This is a joint tour with the Canadian Divison, however, each division is responsible for tracking the flights of their respective teams.  To report legs for the American Teams, visit the US page of MODA Lite; for Canadian Teams, visit the CA page of MODA Lite.
